Prenatal Lactation Plan · Tucson
Plan for feeding, before baby arrives.
A little planning before birth makes the early days far less stressful, especially if you have faced feeding challenges before. We build a personalized prenatal plan so you start ready, not scrambling.

What a prenatal visit covers
We review your history and any past feeding experiences, talk through what to expect in the first hours and days, and flag anything that may need a head start, such as a history of low supply, insufficient glandular tissue, or prior surgery.
It is also the ideal time for a breast and nipple assessment with measurements, so we can match you to the right pump and correctly sized flanges before you need them. We walk through how your pump works and how to use it, calmly and without a hungry baby in the room, so the equipment is one less thing to figure out at 3am.
You leave with a clear, written plan and a direct line to us, so if something feels off after birth, you already know exactly who to call.

Questions parents ask us
When should I schedule a prenatal visit?
The third trimester is a common time, but earlier is fine if you have specific concerns or a history you want to plan around.
I had a hard time last baby. Can this help?
Yes. Prior challenges are exactly what a prenatal plan is for. We build a head start so the early days go more smoothly.
Do you work with my OB or midwife?
Yes. We coordinate so your prenatal and feeding plans line up.
Is the visit covered by insurance?
Often, yes. We’re in-network with most major commercial plans, AHCCCS, and TRICARE. Because we often see families quickly, sometimes the same day or the next morning, and we offer Saturday visits, we can’t always confirm benefits before your visit, and we never let that delay care. These are medical visits, so your plan may apply a copay, coinsurance, or deductible. We’ll help you understand your coverage, and final benefit details are ultimately between you and your plan.
A plan is a beautiful thing.
Though not quite as beautiful as the bundle of joy on the way. Book a prenatal visit and walk in ready, with a plan and a team already behind you.
